Why Oceana Outfitters

As I've spent time traveling, hunting, working, and spending time with friends and family, I've noticed a common thread among  all outdoorsman; we want continually improving opportunities for harvesting trophy animals.  Recognizing this, Oceana Outfitters was founded with a few core tenets.

1.  Improve Population Quality
2.  Provide Quality Opportunities
3.  Help

Help Farmers, and Help Hunters.  Farmers are often land rich, but at times can be cash poor.  Deer, if improperly managed, tilt this equation in a harmful way for farmers.  Hunters, on the other hand, are ALWAYS seeking new opportunities to hunt improved habitat, and are often Land Poor.  The number of hunters continues to diminish on our state.  While some can argue this is a good thing, as Michigan is often considered overhunted, I argue that if proper techniques are used, we can improve the quality of the hunting, while offering the next generation memorable opportunities.  It is my hope that we can accomplish this in the efforts of Oceana Outfitters.  Let's help the landowner pay some of those taxes, while improving access for hunters, and their loved ones.
